It consists of conglomerate and sandstone in the lower part and monotonous mudstone in the upper part.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Tsukinoura Fm unconformably overlies the Isatomae Fm. Regionally, the schematic strat column indicates this is the oldest unit.

Upper contact

Regionally, the schematic strat column indicates the next younger unit as Oginohama Fm

The lower part yields Bajocian ammonoids (Sate 1972) in association with rich bivalves

(Hayami 1959, 1961a).
